Saturday - COVID280

I did not get as much done today as I wanted to but need to remember that rest is something that I need to "do."  I was able to make some progress on some projects and order some groceries online.  I'll head out tomorrow to pick those up.

We are safe and well.  I hope you are too.

Friday - COVID279

I only snoozed the alarm a little bit this morning.  It felt good to be able to get a little more sleep, though I kept waking up to nightmares.

It was a very busy yet productive work day with lots of times on the phone solving problems.

Bex and I put the tree up this evening and it feels good to have it glowing in the living room.  Oliver even sat on my lap afterward, something he hasn't done for months.

It's a cold, cold night and I'm looking forward to snuggling up in a warm bed tonight and looking forward to the weekend.

We are safe and well.  I hope you are too!

Thursday - COVID278

I got up with the alarm this morning and got tired early tonight.

It was a busy work day with some calls to make tomorrow that I didn't get done today.

I took a break in the middle of the day to pick up feed and groceries curbside.  I'm not sure what's up with a run on pasta at Safeway lately but there were some missed items that we'll have to try for another time.  It is feeling a little bit like March again and I'm not sure why.

I received an awesome gift in the mail today that I am looking forward to listening to.

I tried to crochet tonight but am too sleepy so will get to bed a little earlier than I have been lately.

We are safe and well.  I hope you are too.

Wednesday - COVID277

It was a Wednesday workday rainy day.  I am back to hating rain again.  It is stressful and all I want is peace and comfort and security and calm.

Bex picked up tamales when she was out today and we had that for dinner.  Not as good as what we've gotten at the farmers market or the ones I made earlier this year.  I resolved to make more and freeze them up so we can have good ones again.

I kept dozing off on the couch this evening so it is definitely after bedtime.  I'm hoping for a sunny and productive day tomorrow.

We are safe and well.  I hope you are too.

Tuesday - COVID276

I slept in again and think maybe I need the rest.

It was a work day without much to report other than taking the time to work on projects again when I can.

I had roadside assistance come up to change a tire on Loretta so we can get the flat repaired - it just sank to the ground.

My stress level tonight increased notch by notch and I'm not sure why.  I am hoping that meditation and sleep will help and tomorrow will be easier.

But we are safe and well.  I hope you are too.

Monday - COVID275

It was a late start to a work day but not too bad.

It was a busy work day but I had a hard time focusing.  Bex and I worked on our own holiday projects and are making slow but steady progress and enjoying the process.

I've been eating soup until it's gone for lunch and dinner and think that tomorrow will be the last day so I'll need to cook dinner.  I have my next soup planned.  I never got the cornbread made but that's okay - it'll be there when I want it.

The fox showed up last night for a brief appearance near the Ring camera.  I don't know what it was looking at or doing at one point when it went underneath the camera and stood still for at least two minutes.  All that could be seen was its back.  Other than that, the camera has been quiet with just one or two visits from the opossum.

We are safe and well and hibernating.  I hope you are too.

Sunday - COVID274

I slept until Mandi called, which was a good wake-up.  It's always good to catch up with her.

It was a rainy day which is a stressor for me.  I stayed busy with some work and projects but did not get the tree up today.  It's nice to see the projects coming together and I'm looking forward to sending them off as Christmas gifts and hope they're ready in time to ship.  It's strange to think about not being able to be together for the holiday in person.

I napped on the couch for a little bit and it's time to go to bed.  We are safe and dry and well.  I hope you are too.

Saturday - COVID273

It was a later wake-up this morning which felt good, though I did squander it a bit with late bedtime tonight.

It was a day of tasks around the house, preparing space for the Christmas tree, and getting lost in projects to the point that I lost track of time.

Bex and I took a trip to pick up groceries curbside at Jessi's and one stop at a small store with no one but a cashier inside for a quick pick-up.  We were surprised at all the people strolling about downtown and the stores open that we thought would be closed.  It was quite disappointing because the more people ignore safety, the longer we will have to deal with this.

We are safe and well and looking forward to another day off.  I hope you are too.

Friday - COVID272

I slept better again and hope this keeps up.

Work was work and fairly productive, though I felt pretty scattered much of the day.

Rain is good and yet it doesn't take long for the appeal and relief to wear off.  It makes me tense and cold and damp and is not a positive experience like it is for some friends and family.  I made soup that was delayed when the crock pot got unplugged.  The soup tasted good but it was late and I decided to make cornbread tomorrow for leftovers.

I'm pretty tired and hoping for good rest tonight.

We are safe and well.  I hope you are too.

Thursday - COVID271

Sleeping earlier helps with the mornings.  Though they're still a bit cold and I want to stay warm under the covers longer.

It was a work day without much to talk about.

I heard from an old friend today about collaborating on a song.  I'm rusty but we'll see how it goes and how I can help.

Sonoma County and the Bay Area is going back to early COVID restrictions beginning Saturday through January 9.  This is hard for me to take.  No gatherings.  No unnecessary travel.  I'm sunk in a bit of a pit tonight.  I'll feel it and then figure out a plan.

We are safe and well and intend to stay that way.  I hope you are too.
